Ok so we went to the NY Eve party in Murrietta, Ca last night. WOW......... I was wrong about the size of the house--"only" 15,000 square feet.
Anyway, we arrive and there is Valet parking. There were 2 MH there so we could have driven ours but thankfully did not as it was a VERY windy drive in the Mini Van as it was.
They had those huge search lights blazing in the sky to let you know where the house was and it was decorated beautifully with lights on the entire house. We entered and were greated by the Hostess and a professional photographer taking pictures of each couple. Then you walked in to either the hard liquor bar, the martini bar or the wine bar! Most unfortunately they did not have chocolate or expresso martinis

There were servers walking around with hor d'oerves of shrimp cocktails, stuffed mushrooms, asparagus wrapped with meat, etc, etc.
However it was also COLD as it was outdoors--the back doors were open and there was a beautiful pool that overlooked the valley below--they are on a hilltop. They did have heaters outside but we opted for the large enclosed tent by the garage as it seemed warmer.
Everyone was dressed in formal attire which is always fun and nice to see.
The garage held the casino tables but I must admit I didn't go in there as I'm not much of a gambler type even for free.
There was dinner and then entertainment. A singer who was introduced as Mariah Carey--took some of us older folks a while to figure out it wasn't really her. The youngsters said, no way but it sure looked like her and she had a voice in the first song but with the second song you realized it was a tape and she was lip synching but doing a heck of a job!!
Then the dancing started which I must say I was grateful for as I was still shivering

WE boogeyed until midnight and left shortly after.
There were favors upon leaving--small martini glasses which contained clear candles with a small wax olive!
WE had a nice time but I must admit--I prefer our normal New Year's Eve--go out for an early dinner somewhere close, rent a movie and snuggle in blankets on the couch watching it surrounded by the dogs--see I put the dogs in so it's still about pets..............
Anyway, I only have 1 picture of the house as it was hard to get the whole house in the picture and the valet was trying to move everyone along and I was freezing............
Forgot to add---we also saw their Mastiffs which were all in their kennels with their toys, dog beds, etc. They have 10 or so of them. You could have eaten off the floor in there. I hung out there for a while as it was MUCH warmer than anywhere else other than the bathroom where there was often a line and you felt guilty staying longer trying to warm up..........
Happy New Year to all and to all a Good night........
