Racquetball

Someone recommended getting a racquetball for Sophie to play with. I did and she loves it. It is just barely small enough for her to pick it up. She is bumping and bouncing this ball all over the house. It is good exercise when the weather is too cold and wet outside.

I don't know what kind of dog Sophie is, but if she is s large breed, be careful. I gave a racquet ball to our German Shepard dog for years until she almost died choking on it. When those balls get slimed by saliva, they are really slippery with their smooth rubber skin. As dogs chew on it, in my case, it shot back into her throat and got stuck. I had to reach in her mouth and extract it. Had I been at work, it could have ended badly.

Our big dogs now get tennis balls. They aren't as easy to compress, have a fuzzy skin that isn't slippery, and are a wee bit larger in diameter.

Of course...none of this applies to you if Sophie is a small dog! In which case...I'm sure she's having s blast!

Yorkie's like to play ball.
We have a 3.5 ib. toy yorkie, female named Lilly.
She has an air filled, thin rubber ball about 11 in. circumference that she love's to put her snoot to and bump it like she's playing soccer, and bark.
