We knew it was only time until we posted here.

Our Kayla Czar passed in her sleep this morning at 16 1/2 years. She was a wonderful companion and protector. She had a wonderful day yesterday with Patty, and got to go for a walk and see the neighborhood.

She was ready to MH when ever she heard me pull it into the driiveway. We will forever have an empty spot in the MH.

Tom and Patty, so sorry to hear of your loss. Our fur babies are such a precious peice of our hearts. They are only here for a short while , yet fill our lives with nothing but pure love on a daily basis. I know she will be sorely missed.

Tom and Patty,

So sorry to hear about your loss of a great friend. We have a 15-1/2 year old miniature schnauzer and know the day is coming for us to part with him. We have lost two other schnauzers and each holds a special place in your heart.

Ken

Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Patty and I have had a dog since we were married 32 years ago. All of our companions passed away by 10 years of age. We had Kayla with us for half of our married life. We purchased the motor home when she was 12 and we never were without her after that. At 16 years she was so intune with us it was as if she could read our minds.

We will get her ashes soon and she will be forever in her two favorite camping spots.

To all who have lost or will lose a pet, we once again are reminded how the loss hurts.

So sorry to hear about Kayla. It does leave a hole in your heart. You gave Kayla a good life.
We recently lost Babs who we only had for 4 months but we had fallen in love with her. We have a new furkid now but we still miss Babs.

Tom and Patty:

So sorry to hear of the loss of Kayla. What a magnificent looking dog.

When it hurts the most, remind yourself of the wonderful life you gave her and the love she shared so freely with you. I'll bet she is frolicking in dog heaven with our recently-departed dog, Bear.

A crisp cool day here in Chicago, but with 2 days over 50degs most of the snow is gone. As all things in life good things must end. We lost our 2nd RV collie to old age and she is now with her Momma watching what a great job she did training her younger sister Dollie in the art of being an RV dog. Dollie now has the responsibility of teaching her new sister the ways of the RV lifestyle. Dollie and Dixie got there 1st ride in the RV since being out of service. Needless to say Dixie was scared to death. The first dip in the road she was right behind the drivers seat. Dollie being the coolheaded one just layed there and watched. After being coaxed out of the corner and calming down a bit Dixie layed at our feet. It was just a quick ride around the block, but for a dog afaid of her own shadow we did very good.

YngRvrs...I am deeply sorry for your loss -It is never easy when you lose a furry member of the family. I can remember thinking Brandy would not last a week..but when we brought the puppy home- it was like he knew he had another "project" to take care of before he left...and he did an excellent job training Cocoa before he proudly crossed "the bridge"

My prayers are with you...

MM

You have our deepest sympathy for your loss.

No matter how many times it happens, it never gets any easier to loose one of your furry RV travelers.

Unhappy Saying goodbye

I was going to post this under the "Rainbow Bridge" sticky, but it wouldn't let me.

Just about 19 years ago, on a snowy cold Saturday morning I managed to coax a small calico cat into our house to warm up, and then into our lives. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to her today. We have 19 great years with her, including 3 1/2 years fulltiming where she become are ever accurate morning alarm clock. We will miss her but realize that all of the aches and pains of old age are gone and she is at peace.

We had to do the same with the long haired siamese we had for the same length of time. I believe he knew that we would do the right thing. He was ready and at peace. So were we. - but it is still hard.
