The only training I got here in the Mojave desert. SEE SNAKE TURN AND WALK THE OTHER WAY.

I have come close to stepping on a desert sidewinder here a few times. Never had a problem with the dogs. But all of my dogs have been indoor dogs. Our biggest problem here with the dogs is Coyote's

I wish that I could have said the same. When I lived in Yuma, I had Sibs and one day a Rattler got into the back yard. The Sibs were diving at it when it was striking at them. I thought my heart would stop.

Luckily they were obedience trained and snapped into their recall when I called. I then went out and killed the snake. Thought my heart would never slow down.

The only thing that saved their lives was their training.

I would definatley pay to have my dogs snake-proofed.

Sorry, though, that I can't recommend anyone for you. No longer live in that region.

I do not know how far away these guys are but if too far they might be able to recommend: Snake proofing for dogs

Sheila

Thanks Sheila, I contacted a trainer located in Tucson and have recently been given a number to a trainer in Cave Creek (Phx area).
