We love to travel with our dogs but always worry when we leave them for a few hours in warm weather. Our concern is if the power goes out or one of the AC's craps out.

Is anyone using a temperature monitoring system. If so, what type and have you had any problems with it.

We use www.temperaturealert.com. We travel with two dogs and two parrots. We love this gadget. We've used it on past several trips and it works perfect.

You might consider replacing one of your vents with a fan (Fantastic Fan makes them, as well as the ShurFlo Comfort Air fans) that are thermostatically controlled.

When the temperature inside reaches your pre-determined setting, the power vent lid opens and the fan will start on exhaust. Since these are 12 volt, even if the shore power and/or AC fail to work the fan will always come on as a fail safe. The temperature inside your coach will stay at a manageable level until you get back.
