I recently saw a thread pertaining to rude dog owners, but I can't find it now that I'm upset about what happened today.
We are staying in a nice RV park/resort that has signs and doggie bags everywhere to remind pet owners to clean up after your own animals. Since I have a small dog, I think it only common courtesy to walk him on a leash to the designated pet area and use the supplied bags to clean up after him.
Last night DW and I saw a couple of small dogs running around outside near our camp. We were concerned about the safety of the dogs, because we are right next to a busy street and they were heading straight towards it. DW said oh no, someone's dogs got out and they are going to get hit by a car. We immediately ran out and called the dogs over, then a few minutes later the camper next to us called his dogs back to his site. We were both surprised that anyone would let there young dogs run around near a busy street unattended, but we shrugged it off thinking it was one of those occasional accidents.
The next morning we saw them again, this time right inside our camp. I walked outside to make sure they were ok and sure enough they both left a big smelly surprise right in front of me.
The camper next door called his dogs back, then took off on his Harley MC.
By this time DW was fuming. She wanted me to pick up the whole mess and throw it on his steps, but I soon got her to calm down and we both went to the camp host to report our concern. The CG host said "well I don't know who would have done something like that." I said, well I do and he is in site number 867. She looked up the info in her computer and said well thats so and so. I will have to go over there and tell him that you are upset. DW said you don't have to tell them it was us do you? and she said of course I'll tell him it's you!
Well I could have stirred up a hornet's nest just as well without the CG host's help. That's all I need is some big biker dude that want's to shove dog excrement down my throat!
Oh well, just had to vent. I'm sure it's all going to work out in the end. If you don't see any of my posts after this one, you all will know what happened to me

Just pick it up and place it next to his bike where he will step in it.

We had a neighbor whose dog came to visit and left a present. Wife picked it up and placed it on her step. Then rang the bell and explained her dog forgot this at our house. Never happened again.

Some camp ground hosts don't deserve to serve as such. I'd be ready to move on after that, because when you do, the next door dogs will use your paid site to do more messes and the Camp host will try to make you pay for it, claiming it was from your dog and didn't clean up before you left. That's how much support these type of CGHosts can be.

Hi, I'm the DW mentioned in the post above. After the camp hosts response, I think I should have followed my first instinct and put the two piles in their campsite...they are still sitting in front of my RV Oh well, I'll just chock it up to some people are rude and go dump it in the dumpster tomorrow...don't sweat the small stuff, right?? and they are small piles

I would go talk to the dog owner big biker dude. If he did not care & it continued the next pile I found in my site from his dogs would be sitting on his Harley seat when he came out the next morning. I would not normally get revenge like this, but if the CG Host is going to tell him that you were the ones who complained, I would then confront him on my own. Then I would confront the owner of the park, not the host & tell him his host was not doing his job. His job is not telling the dog owner who is complaining but rather to make sure that the dog owner knows the rules & follows them in the CG or is told to leave.

I'd scoop up the bullets and pile them on the seat of his precious scooter. Also, ask the host for the name and phone number of the park owner and report the host for not doing his job.

These type people are just rude and ignorant and give the decent pet owners a bad rap. I have confronted pet owners who have left a mess without intentions of picking it up. Like they say, there's always that 10%.

Hi Wanabee FTer,
When decent people meet low class trash, it is the decent people that back off. Unfortunately, these low class trash will never change. Around the world there have been many studies done concerning the abnormalities of the brain. If decent people think the low class trash is embarrassed, sorry or will try to improve, we are wrong. Their brain works differently. That part is proven. Researchers are still trying to figure out why they are different. For me, I would not let this continue. One must inform the offender of the problem. While the threat of violence is common, it rarely happens. Fortunately, these people do understand and somewhat fear law enforcement. The objective of informing the owner is to determine where the offenders boundaries are and what will make them comply.

An example of this is the owner in the next site would washed his coach while mine would receive considerable over spray. After asking him to be considerate he verbally attacked me! His reasoning was he was a US Marine Corp veteran and he would do anything he wanted when ever he wanted. Now I knew where his mind is. I actually went to the local Marine Corp recruiting office. Told them of the problem and could they help since I didn't think the Marine Corps wanted to be used in such a way. The reply was no they would not officially help, but a recruiter said the resort was on the way home and he would stop by. Fortunately, the offender was home when the recruiter stopped by. While I did not attend the conversation, the offender did start out by trying to intimidate the Master Sargent. This was quickly diffused in a way that only an ex Marine would appreciate. The bottom line is the offender never again washed his coach so over spray came my way. He never spoke to me, but that is okay, I have no need to communicate with him.

Low class trash can be subdued. They are so foolish, they will inform anyone within hearing distance what their problem is. Decent people just need to determine how to take the information and turn it to their advantage.

We have show dogs and while at the showgrounds, which is usually a fairgrounds, a Park or a Hotel area, we are just in the habit of taking plastic bags with us when we walk the dogs. There truly is nothing more aggravating than stepping in 5h1t especially when your shoe soles have really tight ribs/patterns in the bottom - it's next to impossible to remove completely. Next on my list of peeves are people's uncontrolled children.......

Pet ownership and the bi-products thereof are the owners responsibility. Why not try the direct approach and communicate openly. Sticking feces on his seat or step will definitely send a message but is immature and the message you get back may not be what you want. Approach the man, be nice and tell him what his dogs did. It may be that he did not realize, had something on his mind. Its been my experience with people that open and honest communication goes a lot further than passive aggressive behavior.
I suggest you do not treat him like trash as one poster implied he was. You have no way of knowing until you get to know him. Respect for others also goes a long way towards getting your needs met. Who was it that said, "Do onto others as you would have them do onto you"?

I personally have no problem w/talking to any dog owner, if their pet is in my rented space doing anything. We are cat owners, and my cats don't get along w/dogs, so I put up signs, and speak w/my neighbors, and anyone else. Now I have had to deposit their present back to the owners once, not afraid to do that either.
