RV and multiple Pets

Hi,
We have 4 dogs and 6 cats.
I know. Insane right LOL
Our now 20 year old daughter who is off in University had a penchant for rescuing.
Great Dane,Boxer,Bassador and Jack Russell mix. The fifth dog a Great pyrenees is a ranch dog so will not travel.
Yep! Hence we are looking at a big RV. Indoor cats can roam and adopt cabinets etc.
Any others with multiple pets who are crazy like us.

3 pups...2 yr old Boxer, 4 yr old Queensland (Miniature), and 12 yr old Cocker. The 2 older dogs love to travel and camp, but the Boxer isn't quite in the groove yet.

We travel and snow-bird with 4 cats. That's a full house for us as our RV is only 28' with one slideout.

Make sure you NEVER move one of the slides unless all cats and dogs are safely removed from the RV, or are in some way confined.

Note our signature. All are 60 lb. "pound puppies"... 3 from Humane Soc. and 1 from SPCA.
Wife does not allow me on www.petfinders.com as it normally means a road trip and a new puppy. The present "flock" required 3800 miles to pick them up (one at a time)...

We have had 4 cats (three now) with us for years. And we camp with a couple who travel with 4 dogs and 4 cats - who until just recently when they traded for a Class A, camped in a Class C!

Go for it!

My wife and I are living in Texas now.
My wife was born in North east Texas. The metropolis of Carthage LOL
Walmart and DQ.
I am a big city boy who grew up in Montreal.
My wife is a researcher and I am an artist with a bad heart but a relatively good one anyway. We have a 20 year old daughter who was born in Colorado. We have always had alot of pets. Hence 5 dogs and 6 cats. Our fifth dog is a Great Pyrenees who was adopted from the previous owner of our house. She knows this as home so will not travel. We are both Bohemian like and have a Portlandia state of mind. HAHA
Whatever that means right. I appreciate my fellow pet friendlies.

Nice to hear that there is others out there. We currently have ten small puppies. The largest at adult will be 10lbs the smallest 3lbs my guess will be the total weight of all at adult combined will be around 50lbs. we just went and bought a new Winnebago 31K class C to drive back and forth to see family up north. Now we will use it to start camping again.

One fairly small one in the shower. I do clean it at least once a day. They share just fine, except when I get a can of tuna out!

You do need to be aware that most RV campgrounds do have a 2 pet limit rule and some have a 20# or 30# weight limits for dogs.

We have a 32# standard schnauzer and it has never been a problem on weight. Our other dog is an elderly miniature schnauzer. Then we also travel with our Timeh African gray parrot.

Another thing is I would never haul the pets in a travel trailer or 5th wheel trailer. Either get a motorhome or make room for them in the truck.
