Unfortunately, age is an issue when considering a new pet. We lost our 11 year old German Shepherd Dog to Lymthoma last March and, at ages 75 and 73, needed to consider how old we would be at the end of life span of a new GSD puppy. Our compromise was to consider an older rescue dog. We drive to southern Ohio this Sunday to meet, and probably adopt, a 4-5 year old GSD female. Having fur kids is a hard habit to break...
