Savannah and Charleston Area

We are planning a fall trip to the Savannah and Charleston Area. We've been to Savannah before but never RVing. We will have our dogs with us.

Anyone been there and know of excellent doggie day cares you would not hesitate to recommend? We like to drop them off in the AM and pick them up in the AM.

Thanks in advance

Not sure about doggie day cares as we usually take ours with us or they snooze in the coach while we are gone, however I would like to recommend Pearlz Oyster Bar in Charleston. (It's more than oysters)
They have terrific food and awesome happy hour specials if you don't mind eating a little early.

There are several in Charleston. One on Hwy 61 and another on Hwy 17 South not far from Plantation Oaks campground.

If you are looking for a great RV campground that has a large off leash dog area, complete with lake shore for dogs, try James island county park and RV campground. It's just 20 min. South of down town Charleston.

Barks in Savannah was great when we stayed at the Koa last year. And James island county park in Charleston has an amazing dog park

We live in Charleston about 1mile from the James Island County Park, it is great... Make sure you get reservations, the Festival of lights the park is usually full ( Nov-Dec). Charleston is a pet friendly town, we take ours everywhere. If they don't want dogs, we don't go.. Try Folly Beach too.
I wouldn't know about day care...

This doesn't answer you doggie day care question but a great place to stay in between Savannah and Charleston is Hilton Head Marina and RV park.

Look up Camp Bow Wow in the area - it's like heaven on earth for dogs. We take our dog to the local CBW a couple times a week here in FL. They wear her out so I don't have to.
