Securing a dog in a Motorhome (time sensitive 5/13/18)

Hi all,

When my 60lb lab is in my Toyota Sequoia she goes in the back with the 3rd row seats flat with a seat belt belt leash connected to her harmess. She is unable to stand on the seat belt release which she used do in my Toyota 4runner at least every other time.

In our MH she likes to sleep on the couch when moving.

I am looking for a leash that can connect to the lap belt on a sofa that she can not release. I woild like to have about 2 foot length on the leash.

Any recommendations?

Why can't you use the seat belt leash on the lap belt on the sofa? I use a seat belt leash in my car and it works in the camper as well because the latches are the same.
My seat belt leash has the metal end of a seat belt on it that latches into the end with the release button. Is yours different?

Can you adjust the length of the lap belt to be just below the sofa? If you only use it for the dog you could tie a knot in it if it isn't adjustable.

If you Google "seat belt release guard" you will see some products made to prevent your pet from pressing the seat belt button. Maybe that would work for you.

Hi all,

I just tried the belt leash I have and it will not attach so need a new one anyway. I just found a seatbelt relese guard on Amazon. I will purchase a new leash.

Thanks all
