Lily, our 5 mo old Morkie, quivers with fright whenever the motor starts in the moho. Three times in the last 5 trips she got carsick. Leaving her home is not an option since we fulltime.
Yesterday when I picked her up from the groomer, I noticed Thundershirts.

and since they have a 45 day return if it doesn't work policy, I figured Why not?
The change in her anxiety level was immediate and dramatic! She still wants to sit on my lap, but now she settles right down and goes to sleep. Without it she quivered for over an hour.
She's not crazy about putting it on, but tolerates it well. Once the key is turned off she starts tugging on it, wanting it off

We looked at these Thundershirts as well. Our 140 pound Saint Bernard is totally traumatized by fireworks- even a few firecrackers set her off. 4th of July is just a total misery for her.
It would be wonderful if she could be calmed enough with just the shirt.

LOL, now that's not a lap puppy. With their return policy, you should. Good luck!

I read your post and our toy poodle also has a problem with travel but always want to go. She has panted and had tremmors for up to 10 hours in the car when traveling. She is fine in the MH until you start it and settles back down soon as you turn the motor off. We bought one of these shirts and the first test run I did not notice any change. We drove about 80 miles, but on the way home she was sleeping before we got on the highway. The first time I did not put it on her snug enough, tried it a little tighter and thought I had the wrong dog, wow what a difference! This is great and now she can go without all the fuse. This Thunder Shirt is great!
Peace in Jesus Christ.

I am a tremendous supporter of the Thundershirt. I too did not have it quite tight enough the first time with my Susie. Whenever we are headed for severe weather, Susie gets her Thundershirt put on. It makes the difference in her laying beside me at night during thunderstorms, or franticly panting, walking over the top of my head, back and forth and just absolute hysterical anxiety.
I am a believer, and no, it didn't erase her anxiety, just knocked it down about 80-90%, which is incredible.! I ordered it for dearest friend's little Shih Tzu as an early birthday present for him.....
Susie's picture attached with her new Thundershirt a year ago....
