Travelling with dogs

Hello! I am a new member here and the reason we bought our travel trailer it's because we have 5 dogs and can't go anywhere unless we take them with us we started with a teardrop went to a trailer then a Class A than a motorhome Class C and now have a 30 foot travel trailer period looking for places in the Nevada Utah California Arizona area that are very dog friendly. We don't have a generator and 10 she can't and places that have full hookups. Any suggestions of dog friendly campgrounds would be appreciated

Glad to have you here in the forum with us.

In the blue tab above in the Forums tab is a drop down, "RVing with pets". You will mostly likely get some suggestions there.

Happy Trails!!!

Another pack traveler!
We got a class a mostly for our dogs, it became too crowded in our pickup pulling our trailer. We have found that state parks are superior fir camping with dogs. The sites are larger, less crowded and most have great hiking trails etc. It is very difficult with 5 dogs in that we live in the country and our dogs are not leashed until we travel. Stopping at a rest stop is stressful as they all want out at once etc. Private campgrounds often have a limit if 2 dogs and limits as to breeds. When we are forced to use a private campground we never say we have 5 dogs and are careful to take only 2 out at at time and we rarely stay more than one night. That being said, our dogs are great travelers, only want to be with us. Our children are gone and our dogs are our children.

We have only 4 dogs in our class A . Most of our trips are boondocking at wilderness lakes . We keep them inside or leashed when they are out for a walk.
