Well that's disappointing
I have been read some of the post looks like we are going to have a hard time with being able to find spots to camp with two dobermans. Sucks cause i would trust them over many small breeds. Whatever if we got to find crown land or whatever are dogs are coming with us. Plus we will be doing a long trip thru the states feel safer knowing we will have them with us since we cant have a firearm

Welcome to the forum. Reading your post, I am going to assume you are from Canada as you refer to "crown land"? There are several breeds of dogs that you would find RV parks have trouble with - Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Doberman's, etc. Granted, a lot of this is lack of knowledge on peoples part and fear of large dogs, along with "reputations bot earned and unearned. If you are planning a trip into or across the US - best bet is to call ahead to check on acceptance of large breed dogs in parks. As to being glad to having dogs since you cannot bring firearms in, where are you planning on staying at that makes you feel the need to be armed? Granted, there are a few places cities) that I would feel better armed, but I have yet to run into a case where I needed a weapon. Understand, I have a concealed carry permit and rarely take a weapon on cross country trips. America is not as crazy as it is depicted to be, but there are a few crazies out there, just like everywhere else.

We traveled all over. The us and Canada with a Doby and never had a problem at any campground ever. Also with a 180# Dane.
Leave the dogs inside till your checked in. We have been ask if we have a dog and we tell them yes. Seldom ask breed and if ask show them so they can see they are well behaved and quiet.
We do call ahead and check policy sometimes.

your other option would be state, county, and federal parks which don't ask in my experience and are usually less crowded than the RV parks. I use Reserve America a lot when we have traveled in the past and it lists all the federal dam sites often with waterfront sites and clean hot showers. A much better way to travel with pets. With our Golden eagle pass, the federal sites are half price once you are 62. A great bargain even after the recent price hike!

We have traveled for many years with a succession of German Shepherd Dogs, staying mostly at KOA or other commercial RV parks, and very rarely encountered found breed restrictions. The most restrictions we found were in Florida and once in Alabama. Unfortunately, these usually come from the insurance company, not the RV park.

One more case for boondocking, or as others have said, federal or state-run campgrounds.

I think this has less to do with lack of knowledge of breeds and more to do with the insurance policies campgrounds and RV parks have. Liability insurance is likely fairly expensive, especially for the small park owner.
We're not all crazy down here. Stay out of the south side of Chicago and be situationally aware of your surroundings and you'll be fine.
We've never had a problem anywhere we've camped.

Wow. That's pretty sad. My pit mixes (2) are as foofy as my cats! Thanks for the feedback everyone. I was more concerned about having too many fur balls, not the type.

We travel with our Rottie and Lab. We always call ahead and check. We been accepted by many Rv parks. The only problem we’ve encountered is with KOA’s. And many have down right crappy attitudes. IMHO, KOA’s are way overpriced for folks needing a quick overnighter. BTW, I’ve been chased and bitten by those noisy obnoxious little breeds in many many parks. In fact, a little dog ran out of an RV and charged my husband while he was walking our well-behaved rottie. The look on the owner’s face was priceless when she saw our dog. Our Rottie didn’t give that dog a second look and just strolled on by. If the situation were reversed, we would have been tossed from the park.

We have traveled 13 western states with our doberman. And only been turned away from one rv park. Many list a breed restriction but allowed us to stay as long as we agreed that if he showed any aggression we would be asked to leave.

Is this not an insurance policy issue that the park may have. I agree it’s not usually the breed but the training.
