We have three dogs and they all nibble at grass. I was told by a vet that it aided in digestion and served as a way to get rid of something bad that they had eaten (thus the heaving). Just my 2 cents worth on this .. I tried it ,,,,,,,, didnt like it much. Smoking it was nice if you had some ''wine'' and soft music and a pretty wife to .............good Lord..... That almost got out of hand ..... nuff said...

My dog eats grass with regularity and always within a minute or two of consuming a few blades vomits in what could only be described as not one but 2 'power-pukes'.

Usually this occurs outdoors but it's not unheard of for her to hustle inside and then blatz it all over the carpet or a cushion. She always heaves up nothing but a meager quantity of very foamy, yellowish bile which stinks terribly after it spews all down her chin and front legs. (A spewing, messy puker)

All of this has given me an idea; perhaps I should venture outside and chew down some grass. It would then help me cough up-puke up all that phloem and mucus I seem to hawk up first thing every morning regardless. Dog's not dumb.

In fact..vet says they eat grass and puke because they sense they have a little tummie upset. Sort of Pepto Bismal for dogs.
