This question is probably a matter of opinion. I have seen solo's in larger RVs and I am in a class c with my two kids. We love it!

I prefer a motorhome and I'm solo again. Not the way it was planned but the DW had liver cancer.
We went from a 26' TT to a 17' Type B MH in 1986.

I am solo with a 36' class A with a bath and a half. Am I breaking some "law" that I need a certain type of rv?
Do what makes you feel comfortable and be happy. Life is way too short to worry about what others say.

I like my class C because I never have to leave the vehicle while traveling unless I want to. Bathroom, fridge, anything else I might need is all enclosed with me if I don't feel safe. Just my opinion, it's what make you happy.

How many people are you taking along?

As folks have said, it's personal preference. That said you also need a substantial tow vehicle with a trailer that size and have a lot of room to clean and maintain. As time passes you may find you are hauling around more house than you need with more truck with you want or you might pick up more company. Just take your time and see how things evolve.

I don't think the type of rig matters as much as whether or not you feel comfortable and happy with it.
