I'm taking square dance lessons twice a week in Albuquerque and having a ball! LOL! Figured since I'm going to be here for a while, may as well learn something! For once, I get to be the younger woman in a group! LOL!! Seriously, it is a lot of fun and I can join up with groups anywhere I go along the road . . . going to look into other dance lessons as well.

What's everyone else up to?

GM: Way to go. Right now I am cruising through the Smokey Mountains in a blaze of color. Life is good.

OK - call me nuts. But I'm reading a book about positive energy - positive feelings. "Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting". Long story short, I took a drive Saturday, passed a little casino, went in there feeling FANTASTIC at being so lucky to travel and experience everything that I've been experiencing and I walked right up to a machine and won $450. Call it coincidence, but a lot of other things have been going my way since I've been trying to BE THANKFUL, APPRECIATE MY LIFE, APPRECIATE MY GREAT FORTUNE TO BE OUT HERE ON THE ROAD SEEING THE COUNTRY and NOT thinking about ANYTHING NEGATIVE - the ex, dumping the sewere tank (LOL!) or ANYTHING ELSE.

Might want to give it a try . . . .

Hey hey hey! Nice to see you back GM. Hope that laptop is fixed now. I bought an iphone yesterday and what a neat little gadget it is! Perfect for fulltimers I expect.

I like your attitude...

Hi All,

I agree 100000% about positive, being better then dwelling on the negative!! With that in mind, I started my trip south for the winter. Will be hooking up with a bunch of iRV2ers for a rally this week-end in Mt. Airy, NC. Then off to warm and sunny Fla. for the winter !!

In case anyone didn't see the techy page where I posted this, I finally found out what's been wrong with my RV. I've been experiencing power loss with it since I got it - 12 mechanics, 5 states, thousands in diagnostic charges and mechanics time, 02 sensors, MAF, fuel filters, etc.,etc., etc., the owner of Statkus Engine and Performance Center in ABQ figured it out. It wouldn't act up when he was driving it so he kicked the computer and it lost power. It was a power chip installed when the Banks system was installed back in 2001 and it had gone bad. He says you don't want a power chip in a gas motorhome anyway - so he took it out and it's purring like a new kitten and shifting better than I could have hoped as well. So as soon as these 65 mph winds die down, I'm headed to Deming! Look out world - here I come!!

GM: Good news, sorry it took so much money and time to finally locate the problem. May the winds of good fortune be at your back and keep us informed of your progress to Deming,NM. I lived for two years in Clovis NM. It is the land of enchantment.

I am back in the Buckeye State myself after having spent two wonderful weeks in the blazing colors of the mountains of Tenn and N.C.

I've been adopted by a 74 year old lady that's been RVing solo towing a HUGE 5th wheel since 1991!!! She's a trip, I swear - so much fun!
And you're considering coming off the road?

Have fun in Florida Al!!

Ah, Dirk. There are good things in both worlds. I love art and making art and I can't do it out here. But I'm not coming off the road anytime soon . . . at least I don't think I am. It's just nice to know there's a special place for me when I DO. Right now I'm at the LoW Ranch in Deming, workcamping for a month, and having an absolute ball with all these INSANE people!!! Talking about young at heart!! LOL!! I can't keep up with some of these folks. Yeah, I'm the youngest one here - the next youngest ones are 56 and 60, but you'd never know their age by the way they PLAY!! We went to The Pink Store in Palomas today for lunch and margaritas . . . and more margaritas . . . and dancing . . . whew!!

GraciesMom, if you're still in Deming, ask around and see if Tinnie's Silver Dollar is still a good steak place up in Silver City. Last time I was there, it beat most of the steaks around this part of Texas ... and that's saying a lot.

Of course, time does change places as well as ourselves.

It also sounds as if you might be in the proper crowd to go out on a "Demming Lights" hunt. I hear those hunts are best attended with more margaritas ... and "insane people."

"Demming Lights Hunt?" Is that where we drive along the road and shoot out the street lights??? Never heard of it - but we've definitely got the insane people here to do whatever it is!!! (I'm assuming you mean Christmas lights?) Whatever - fill me in - I'm up to anything that involves margaritas and lights . . .
