Haven't you heard - or read - the cute little saying, "Ewe's not fat . . . Ewe's fluffy" with a picture of a fluffy sheep?

Thank heavens all the fudge and ice cream shops in downtown Tombstone are closed or all this talk about cookies would have sent me running down there for a fix!! I had an awesome day . . . a "shoot out" show, window shopping, great lunch at one of the "saloons" with a margarita and a spectacular sunset!!!

Hi All,

Well I am still hanging out in FL, and I think I have a good grip on The FL Christmas and Jimmy Buffett lifestyle! However I will keep working on it to make sure!!

My dad used to play the ponies and he told me that in the long run if you break even it is as good as winning.

Yesterday I wrote a big long eloquent, extremely entertaining and informative post, but just as I added my final smiley face, it disappeared, gone, puff, vanished into thin cyber space, to never be seen again.

Sooooo.... you'll just have to use your imagination as to what was in that fantastic post.

Hello gang! I am in Ajo, Arizona . . . near Why, Arizona. And now I know Why you want to go to Why . . . the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument . . . BEAUTIFUL!! So peaceful out here - I've been boondocking on BLM land in the middle of the desert, havnig a fire every night and enjoying the full moon and stars. Life is good!! No internet connection though. So much for Verizon's "network". The phone works but you cant' get online when roaming, I guess.

Snow in Mississippi? I knew there was snow in Texas. I can't get a single TV channel on my antenna powered TV . . . gonna have to get the satellite connected again if I'm going to keep doing this boondocking. It's turned cold and overcast here . . . sposed to get colder and possibly rain, so I'm going to have to get off the BLM desert land and onto some concrete or gravel.

One of the folks I'm traveling with got a big rock stuck between his rear tires . . . couldn't get it out for anything and couldnt' drive with it in there. It was a mess. Had to call someone out to remove it. We're talking BOULDER here . . . I'm amazed it didn't ruin one or both tires or the wheels . . . .

I'm back to update my blog . . . since no one else is posting here!!!

Today I went out 4-wheeling with a group of WINs . . . we went all the way from the VFW in Yuma to Welltown on little trails across the mountains. I got to ride with Maniac Mike (and he comes by that name honestly) on a side-by-side souped-up ATV. This guy used to race boats, and has had two hip replacements due to accidents, so you can imagine what kind of ride I had! Whew!!!

I survived the 55 mph trip over rocks and boulders and hills I wouldn't want to climb on foot . . . not to mention coming down the OTHER SIDE . . . LOL!! We cruised into lunch at some out of the way place in Welltown. Then I did the smart thing and hitched a ride back with the folks that drove a 4-wheel drive truck out and were driving back into town via the INTERSTATE!!

I was doing fine until I started getting instructions for what to do in case of a roll-over . . . then I got a little nervous. And I was instructed to pretend I was on a boat . . . to just "ride with the waves." That's kinda hard when you're coming straight down the side of a hill with rocks all over the place. Instinct sets in and you grab on to whatever you can reach and brace for impact!!! LOL!! But I felt more secure since this ATV had roll bars and seat belts . . . unlike the open ones that have no protection at all.

Ya'll these folks' average age is 60 to 65 as far as I know - and they kayak, bike, ATV, dance, hike . . . I am definitely in the right group if I don't want to rust away!! Just not sure how many bones I'll end up breaking trying to keep up!!!

Dear GM,
Reading through your adventures has me filled with anticipation to get on the road. Your stories make me consider traveling around more than I initially had considered. Most of the rational for this lifestyle choice was an inexpensive free form kind of an existence, to be able to go back and forth between my kids without actually having to stay with them.
Robert
