As a single guy for 18+ years I feel for ya speedpeddler.
The transition may take some time. Everyone is different so don't feel like you have to rush in and get comfortable right away. A B is a good decision to ease into it solo. Lots of good people on the road. Almost all will honor your privacy and still welcome you with open arms as you are ready. IRV2 is a great community too. Some will mean well but not come across that way. Don't take it personal. You'll know who you will "click" with and who you don't. You only need a couple good people and can ignore the ones you don't see eye to eye with.

Just wanted to interject. My husband who passed away in March was extremely healthy but very unlucky. He got a rare lung disease, IPF (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis)...didn't smoke and ate right. The large majority of his ancestors lived into their 90s.

Sometimes you just get the short end of the stick so make the most of every moment together you have.
