If only for a day, I'm in pleasant, warm sunshine! Seems like it's been forever since I've been able to take my socks off!
Of course, tomorrow? Moving into the rain, then snow forecast for Tues :-( Fortunately, I'll be planted for a few days by the time it hits.
Enjoying the big, yellow orb while I have it. . .
Hope others are getting some too!

This is the first year I can remember in Texas that I realized what people in the northern states experience without the sun in winter. Gosh no wonder people go south, mentally and physically. Thank goodness for computers so we all can talk during this "sunless" time

It sure has been a bummer down here in Florida this season. Sure we get a teaser about twice a week and then back into the gloom and cool. If you are at home and having lousy weather, take solace in the fact that you are NOT paying a Kings ransom for a day or two of sun a week. I am about as far South as you can get, this is the second time in 10 years we have bombed out on weather. Even the countryside is dismal, no green, no flowers, shuttered up RV's. Hope this puts a tiny bit of sunshine in your bonnet.

Yesterday we had sunshine. What a relief. We do (in Texas close to Houston) have some trees and flowers blooming. Today rain again and a little cooler tomorrow night. 51 at 7:am

Maggie: I have a lot of family living in the Houston area and up around Magnolia. They are Indiana transplants, in 15 years they say this is the worst winter they have ever seen. I hope this straightens out, because I am thinking seriously of changing my destination from Florida to Texas in the coming years. My corporate headquarters used to be in the twin towers in Houston. I would fly in about once a month and cannot remember ever experiencing really bad weather in the winter. Now the summer, that is a whole different story. We even had to air condition our parking garage.

I think you will agree that winter everywhere has been unusual this year. As far as this winter even though it has been cold and dreary it has been nothing like what others have been experiencing.
Summer in Texas now that takes some getting used to. lol
Hope you come to Texas next winter. We will pray for a nicer climate.

Yes Maggie I agree on the lousy winter weather everywhere. I guess having to pay a premium for bad weather is a bone of contention. However I doubt if any one is going to have heart palpitations of our dilemma. I am counting on your prayers being answered to the affirmative. Keep on keeping on.

I for one, can appreciate a little news about gloomy weather down south, 'cause I couldn't quite get there this year. Just kidding... Anyway, the cloudy skies with occasional rain up here in western Oregon has been mixed with rare sunny days, an unusual winter for sure. Chalk it up to another "el nino", they say. I'm looking forward to spring and a little trout fishing, but I did miss going south for a few months, although I had friends who got caught (and surprised) in those rain storms and floods in AZ. Maybe next year. Keep those weather reports coming, and we'll look forward to warmer days ahead, eh? BTW, when does it start getting real hot down in TX?

The weather here in NC is getting really nice and we are looking forward to hitting the highways again! Hope to see some of you along the way. First stop Delaware and on to Charlie Brown camp ground.

Here in the Mojave desert it has been really nice the last few weeks. I have been working nights lately. Have been tempted to turn the A/c on even. It gets to about 80 degrees in the 5 ver about the time I leave for work.
