well I will be leaving out the 3rd of June on my dream trip out west. I have wanted to make this trip since I got back into rving several years ago. I bought a TC just for the trip and have borrowed a Chev. duramax to put it on from my best friend. I am going to the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and sites in between and can't wait to fish any where they will let me . I have never been to either and have always wanted to go. Now I have the time and money so I am going to finally do it. I don't have to be back any certain time so it may take 2 or 3 months to see what there is to see. With the TC I can get 16.5 or better and that is why I am taking it instead of my home the A. I rather have the fuel money to see more than the confort of the A. Wish me luck and will keep everyone up to date as I go along...Happy Trails..

What a friend you have. We did the East to West route several years ago, but only had three weeks. Next trip we will be fulltiming.

We have been fulltiming since last October and really enjoying. This fuel price thing has kind of put a dampner on it having a modest income, so this is the way we are getting around it until things get a little better by traveling in the TC and leaveing the A at our home base. I really bought it so I could get into my daughter's home. Due to all the trees it was next to impossible to get into the yard. I do have a great friend to lend me his truck for a couple of months. When I get back I will trade my truck for a larger one to handel the TC. But I really have become attached to the TC it is so easy to get around than a 37' A. Happy Trails..

Go for it....Look into adding these to your list: Utah (Brice, Zion, Capital Reef) and Devils Tower (KOA is right at the entrance). Custer State Park near Mt Rushmore has a huge buffalo population if you like that sort of thing. Have a great trip.

Well it looks like a solo trip for me. My xwife has offered to keep the terror while I am gone. She misses her, not me, and said she would really appreciate having her for the time that i will be gone. After studing on it, I think it is a good idea since I will have to leave her so much while I am in the different parks. I hate it, but it will be better for her since she is getting older..One more week....

Thanks Ryegal, I'm affraid I will be broke before I get out of here. I don't want to take anything out of the A and put in the TC so I have been to Wally World and a few other palces getting everything I need to outfit the new rig. I keep telling myself that something that small can't hold much more! Four more days..Happy Holliday everybody...
