Ten days of dance lessons both beginner and advanced dancing. All singles although some travel together everyone must be free to dance with all. Don't need to be a member of any group. Dances each night with the group and on Wed. trip to 11th street cowboy bar a real unique experience and lots of fun. Breakfast each morning and happy hour each evening, a few other interesting things during the 10 days. Dates are April 5-15. The first Sunday is Easter this year so we will have special lunch and entertainment. There are theme nights including Mardi Gras, Dress up, Western Saloon night. Participation in dress up is optional but if you wish to dress you want to be prepared. There is also an opening day picnic "Down on the River" kind of a hoe down theme.
RV'ers from all over who leave here and travel in different directions. You will meet a lot of singles some of whom travel in caravan's and some who join up for awhile and then go there own way. This is one of the greatest events I have attended. My 5th year. There is a deadline for regestration please let me know ANYONE who is single and wants to attend and I will get you an application
This sounds like an awesome good time! Please send me an application with all the details! Not positive yet that I will be able to make it, but would like to have all the details! Thx

MaggieBoom -

Yes I was disappointed to learn that the dance rally was on the same weekend as my hosting duties with one of my other camping clubs. It sounds like a really great rally and I hope to make it next year. Other than that I may try to get out there to see you with some of the Boomers one of these weeks.

Hello all; I have been lurking in this thread for a bit, and just hadn't gotten around to introducing myself.

I am, obviously, Dave. From central Florida, although will be on the road this spring, pulling a KZ Escalade Sportster with an F-350. So if you see one of those with a guy by hisself in the front seat, say hi!

I do not know if this is the place to start ( i did enter a previous thread somewhere)
This is Allen aka Gadget. almost 2 years ago i purchased a motorhome and went full time...I never had an RV before so this was a big jump for me.
I am really learning the hard way.. I did not know anyone so i was not able to get much advice or help.....
I am in South Florida and last year I went to the end of Long Island NY and stayed and worked in a campground....I must say i really enjoyed the experience....
At this moment I am in Palm Beach County ( South East Coast of Florida )
Anyone around here.....feel free to say hello..Thank you

Welcome Gadget! Jumping in full time is quite a leap! I started more modestly in 2010 with a 17' Casita camping trailer (which turned out to be a great way to begin). I also joined Escapees RV Club. They sponsor something called "RV Boot Camp". I attended one last summer in Gilette, WY and had a great time. I learned a lot over that weekend. It was time and money very well spent. I can recommend it highly. There are also a series of teaching videos "RV 101". Again, time well spent. I believe the folks who do the DVDs may involved with Escapees RV Club. My county has a cooperative library system. I've been able to borrow the RV 101 series through my local library. If you find yourself in a location with a good library system, look for them. Otherwise, I think the DVDs retail around $20 each. I haven't looked into Netflix or other rental venues but, you might get lucky that way. Again, welcome aboard!

Hi, y'all. Wanting to get back into hiking/backpacking. What better way than with an RV. I used to do quite a bit of camping in a large travel trailer in the 80's but now it's more about transportation, a comfortable bed and the best location,
A couple of months ago, I started with plans to convert a new cargo van into a one person RV, but uncertainty about the car industry, the end of the Ford Econoline, etc. changed my plans into converting my 20 year old Dodge B-250. That will have to do for the next couple of years.

Van.

Welcome to Solos, Dan.

In 1975, my ex and I added insulation, wall paneling and a bed to our '73 Dodge cargo van for weekend camping with our then toddler. Your project is very impressive, as is your website.

I hope to find someone with half your talent to custom make some cabinetry for my RV. If only you were in south TX.

I look forward to seeing pics of your finished project.

Hello
Good luck to you on your new adventure...I can relate to the excitement of the new adventure and the " scarey" part too.
I never had an RV and sold the house..hoping for the enjoyable and hopefully simpler way.....and purchase my motorhome and jumped in full time...So this was/is and experience....lots to learn. I am in South Florida but will head North to the end of Long Island NY about first week in April.
Hope you enjoy your new adventure...Allen.....aka gadget

Been lurking on IRV2 for awhile and decided to jump in. Live in Wake Forest, NC, single female (hard to tell with handle as YodaRules, huh?) with a life long dream of the RV lifestyle after retirement. Well, my retirement has arrived and I still have that dream. Not sure what type of vehicle I want yet but starting to look.

Thought about trying to find a single woman RVer on the east cost that might consider a travel companion on a couple trips. Save some money by splitting the cost and help me learn the ins and outs of Rving. Best of both worlds!!

Still trying to figure everything out...... Glad I jumped in!

Patsy

Welcome Patsy. I think I would suggest the (hobby-- life style), awhile before I jumped in full time. What ever you decide, my best wishes go with you.
