Very sorry for your loss. My condolences to you.

I have belonged to irv2 for a long time. I'm now solo. Never 'left the road', but am not fulltiming anymore. I'm in Gold Canyon, Az., and plan to continue rving. I'm reaching out and branching out. I do love to travel, and now I'm often bringing along my sister who is also solo. I am very handy around the rv, but occasionally have questions. I have a good setup, a 26' class c with a Jeep Wrangler toad. Look forward to meeting some of you on the road.

Hugs, Boni

Been traveling alone, well, with DD for several years.
I love motorhoming, my husband retired in January
we are both 70, he doesn't really. (our daughter is
mentally challenged but pretty high functioning)

We took a weeks trip to Minnesota, he is up at 5 raring
to go, to work that is. DD would come back in bed with
me while he watches all the political stuff too. He watches that
stuff constantly when we are not working on houses. He
worked traveling all his life and the last 15 years overseas
so needless to say he wants to be home. And I want to go while
I am still able.

However, for those 15 years I worked on rentals, we moved
back north to Indiana and sold most of them in Texas. So
what are we doing, buying rentals! We have 3 done and
rented and 3 more in the works, I told him I will help finish
those then I'm pretty much done or I hope I am. He likes
doing this stuff.

We don't argue or anything about it, he doesn't care if I go,
I wish he would too, but he is miserable. So I guess DD and
I will continue to use our old Eagle till she loses her wings. LOL!

We are heading out Monday to Leamington, Ontario for a week
with RVing Women, oh we live in southern Indiana. I joined
some years ago, this is the first occasion I've had to meet up
with them, had to much going on.

Hubby doesn't mind maintaining the motorhome for me so I
guess that is a good thing. It works for us, but I still wish he
could relax and enjoy it too.

My motorhome is very old a 1992 American Eagle but she is
still going along, we have done a lot to it, but would give
anything for a slide. Had a newer one but smaller and a
gas one, hard to keep on the road so we got this 38 ft
Eagle. I like driving it and tow my Caddie.

Maybe I will see youall out there on the road or in a park someday.
I don't know if you have rallies or not. If you do give a shoutout,
may come one day. I hope to head for Florida in Feb or so.

And yes I use Exit Now too, my book is older and I don't know
if they are still printing it, but pretty good to find RV parks and
services. I have Coach Net so really good service, I have used
it twice. One time for a flat on my other coach and once on this
one to replace an alternator that died.

DD and I are heading out in the morning. Was going to today
but found its only about 450 miles from here. Also was concerned
about all the traffic today, that will work better. A short trip, but
hoping it will be fun for us.

Take off and go, what have you got to lose? Life is to short to keep
waiting around, enjoy it!!

Welcome to the forum planethopper and Eddy. If you ever get to the Southwest US, let me know. Will be in Quartzsite and Yuma this year.

Hello,
Although I've been RVing Full-time Solo for over 3 years, I didn't know this forum was here.
My name is Jack. I enjoy staying in the Warmer climates year round and Looking for a new or newer class A. I absolutely love my American Eagle but I'm looking for all the new electric & electrical options!

I have been looking for a newer class A also but even to move to a 2002 or 3 is a lot of money and its still 13 years old, to get to one with 40 to 50K miles is around a 6. I would like to stick with an Eagle, Beaver, Monaco, or something like that so not cheap. I want slides so bad I can taste it, mine has none. And my old one is getting about time for an overall I think, using more oil then it should. Toyed with the idea of a new truck, he can use it when I'm not going, and used travel trailers that are very nice can be found for a good price, but I think that's bit to much work for me as I'm aging. I like pushing a button and its leveled!!

So right now I'm trying to decide, do I put this one in the shop, I know what I have and the rest of its in good shape or buy another that might need work too?? DH said do whichever one I want. But I feel guilty putting a lot of money in something just DD and I will use and he will seldom go in. Also at age 70 how many more years can I do it? Need to make the decision soon if I'm going to do much this year.

I saw some other solos groups back at the beginning of this thread and may check them out.
