I was married for 21.5 years, I never cheated. Did I have the oppertunity? YES
Did I have the temptation? YES
Do I regrett it? YES
I was in a marriage that lasted way too long. Would I do it again in that situation? Not only NO but Hell NO
Now I have found that I can only date one at a time, after I divorced I went a little nuts with my new found freedom and dated several women at the same time. I have dated in age from 20 years younger to 15 years older.
Now I am looking for someone much closer to my age. Someone with who I have common interest.
Will I ever marry again? YES, but it will have to be the right one and I haven't found her yet.

It is pretty well accepted by anthropologists that men are predisposed to desire multiple partners. But that does not mean that they will cheat.
One aspect is the anthropological urge to wander and the other is moral certitude not to cheat. These are two separate things.

Trust me, most faithful men have to exercise great control to be the sort of husband most women want.

Not in all cases . . . I mean let's admit it - there are bad men and women as well. But in SOME cases, I think the responsibility to keep a man faithful lies with the woman as well. I agree with your post Kanab . . . you guys are definitely wired differently than we are. But then there are some women who are wired differently than other women too. It's too complicated to put labels on. So many variances in personalities. But I think that a good man would talk to his partner about his needs and a good partner would listen. Just my 2 cents worth.
