If you see someone in a forum that's single, please invite them to our little group! And feel free to ask questions and suggest topics too!! I'm going to put up a poll to find otu how many single RV'ers there are out there . . . and maybe get them to join here.

Actually, I think I'll post a poll here and in the full timer's section. Hope everyone is just quiet and that everyone is doing well!

Recruiting for what? The last time I was recruited it got me a years tour in SE Asia.

I'm single, happily so for many years; and been here on IRV2 for 4 years, even stopped in this forum several times, but I had nothing to add to the discussions.
Meaning no disrespect, especially to a fellow Marine, I come to IRV2 for RV info and RV help and to give RV help when I can. To me being single has no more impact on my RV'ing than being right handed does, its just part of who I am. So I had about as much interest in a singles RV forum as I would in a "right handed RV'ers" forum.

but thats just this old jarhead's view and I'm frequently in the minority

Jim

Dean - I know I'm headed to Arizona for the winter. It would be neat to meet some fellow IRV2 folks down there.

JRP - geez, what a jarhead!! LOL!! There are a lot of things that are more difficult to do as a solo RV'er . . . maybe moreso for women than men. And sometimes it gets lonely out there - that's why we started this forum. Some of us have made some friends on here, shared information, jokes, etc. It's not for everyone. But I appreciate your view!! And you're obviously not in the minority or we'd have more folks in here chatting!

Semper Fi!

You know GM, I think it just takes time for a forum like this to take form. I belong to another one for women only that is very active but I liked the idea of this one because it would be both genders adding bits of useful or interesting miscellania about travelling solo. It is early times yet, I think. The heart forum I moderate for has had lots of growing pains over its almost 5 year history. I still think this forum will grow, 'though.JMHO

Me personally re travelling solo? Well I am not travelling yet as I am not yet retired. I am counting down 'though....3 and a half months and I shall be on my way, I figure for at least 1.5 years before I come 'home' again to regroup and decide the next stage of life...

Only reason I have not posted lately is that I have been abed about a week with a nasty virus. Wound up on tripled inhalers and a steroid 'burst' along with my usual myriad of other crap that I take to keep me 'healthy' LOL..More stuff to add to my pharmaceutical armoury against all illnesses LOL!

I am just grateful I am coming out of it finally as I leave in two days for a little 'cruise to nowhere' with a friend of mine and then pick up my 'new to me' little motor scooter on the way back. Will be offline likely four days. At least I already worked through my internet addiction by being so sick LOL and I made room for all the cruise food by losing 5 pounds or so this week!! Who says these things don't happen for a reason?

Stay well everyone. These darned germs are out there, despite the still-beautiful weather we are having...

Hi one and all;

I have been a single RVer for over 12 years. I am a travel Nurse and have spent many a day in my six pak camper while working in and around the USA.

I am now semi retired, may work one day again, and spending this winter in California, next to Yuma, Arizona.

I summer in New Mexico 7000 feet on the side of Burro Mountain.

I would like to meet other persons who like to travel independently in a convoy of 2 or more with similar destinations and intrest in mind.

Would be intrested in hearing from others with a similar mind set.

Hello Rose and welcome to IRV2!!! I'm going to be in Yuma on the 15th of December through New Years . . . then heading to Quartzite or parts thereabouts after that. I'm in Deming, NM right now. I am looking into joining WIN - Wandering Individuals. It's a singles group that caravans together, is quite active and moves pretty often. You may want to check that out online. We're so happy to have you join our little community! Wow - 12 years!! I'm sure you can teach some of us a lot!!
