As a Solo RV'er I try to go where there are other people. Not that I don't enjoy private, it is just nice to converse with others sometimes.
Feb 26, 27,& 28 I will be in the beautiful city of La Belle Fl. The 44th SWAMP CABBAGE FESTIVAL. You can eat this stuff, tasted like (chicken) artichoke hearts and palm hearts, which it is. Whisper Creek RV Resort has spots. Rodeo, car show, bike show the works. I'm running an HR Endeavor being pushed by a little white PT Cruiser. Stop by.

Swamp Cabbage tastes like... Chicken!!!!!

No! Swamp cabbage tastes like swamp cabbage! My Daddy used to go cut down a couple swamp cabbage palms every so often when I was a kid living in FL. He would also bring home a little gator (usually 2 to 4 ft...Mom said nothing over 5 ft after a 6 footer was almost faster than my older sister) for my sister & I to play with. They were such fun! Now it's illegal to go out in the woods to cut down a wild swamp cabbage to eat... If you are pushing up acres of them to put in a shopping center or housing development... well that's different. BTW, most cans (yuk) have pictures of royal palms not cabbage palms.

But everyone always say "tastes like chicken" even when things don't taste like chicken. The other food is banana. I have had folks tell me fish tastes like chicken. And be serious.
