I was on base last week. Stopped by the thrift shop. I found an egg poacher/hard boiler. It was Identical to the one my parents got for a wedding present in 1945. Paid a dollar 50 for it. Got back to the rig and it works just like the one I used as a kid in the sixties. You have to love thrift shops.

I think my BEST find was a LARGE oven broiler with the slotted grill top. The ceramic coating had a very small chip in, but other than that it was PERFECT .... cost? $3.75!!! YAY!

I got a 3qt crock pot for $2 at a yard sale, a steal! Those things, new, cost $25+. Granted, it's from the 70's (it's avacado green! - my mom had an orange one - shoulda scarffed that one when she sold the house) & has the crock you can't remove, like you can w/the new ones, but, hey, it works just fine. Saw the exact same ones on evilBay going for way more than that with s/h - they list them as "vintage".
