you need a Ham shank or butt, about 3 cans of sliced white potatoes, and 3 cans of greenbeans

my wife is screaming shank so we will use that...
put it in a big pot and cover with water, let it simmer
[the longer the better} about 3 hours take the ham out of the water and cut in 1 inch or smaller pieces...
and add back into the ham juice...

Drain the potatoes & greenbeans and add them also
L%et this Simmer a good hour or more so the potatoes & greenbeans soak up the juices,

This is a Pennsylvania Dutch food as far as i know
