In the wake of so many issues of people becoming sick from foods in the past few years, I took a second look at the foods I was buying. The movement of our (US) fruit and vegetable growers to push the grocery store to label where our food was coming from really motivated me in a direction of asking myself why I am eating foods from California (or China, Mexico) when I live on the east coast. So now over the years I have gone from a dedicated local farmer’s market shopper to actually being a part of CSA (Community Supportive Agriculture).

When we travel in the RV I love to stop at local road stands for the local produce and locally made foods( butter, cheese, honey....Boiled Peanuts). I thought I would share a website that can help you locate a local farmers market while on the road.

PS---Don’t rinse your collard greens in the washing machine---it takes forever to get the sand out of the machine!
