Pesto my way
1 bulb garlic or 6 big cloves
1/2 cup pine nuts or walnuts
2 cups packed fresh Basel
1 cup olive oil
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese

place each ingredient in blender blending a little each time
best the next day

Place large spoon full on a large slice of tomato and toasted french bread
or add to pasta ......freezes well

Pesto my way.... Screw the lid off the jar... pour over cooked refrigerated pasta (ravioli, tortellini). Minimal cooking! I love it! No blender jar to wash.

Costco Pesto. Need to freeze 1/2 of 22oz jar or it will mold before you use it all. Low sodium and mild flavor. You can add whatever you like; can even add spice to the jar & mix it in. Great to have it in the fridge for whenever.

Take one tablespoon, heap it if you crave pesto, put it in bottom of salad bowl.
Finely mince white onion, maybe 3 tablespoons.
Add chopped sweet pepper, and chopped avacado, then enough salad dressing for the rest of the salad you will add later. Mix till all is coated.
Add in your greens & tomatoes, bacon bits, slivered almonds, salt & pepper to taste, and toss.
The trick is to mix the pesto, dressing and aromatic veggies before adding greens; that way the pesto & aromatics all flavor the dressing, and the avocado gets a bit beat up for a creamy avocado sort of appeal.
