What kind of filling ? Some people just eat them boiled. I like mine fried and with a dolip of sour cream.

The only ones I have ever had are the homemade ones. My Mom used to make them at home alot. Now my wife and sister will make a bunch every couple of years. They freeze well. They make cheese, cheese and cabbage, sauerkraut and cheese and potato.
Gettin' hungry.

Mrs. T's are 'gowno' (pronounce gwov-nah) which translates to a variation of 'crap' in Polish.
If you can't make them yourself, find a Polish Catholic church and there is a pretty good chance that they sell them. My grandmother, my Mom and now my wife make them filled with either potatoes, cheese, and sometimes apricots or blueberries. Fry them up in butter and onions.
A traditional Christmas Eve dinner has no meat but includes ample amounts of mushroom soup, fish, and best of all, piles of homemade pierogis! That's on my menu for this Friday night!
Since they freeze well, my wife usually makes a few dozen and that becomes a staple dinner when driving cross country.

Greg post your recipe. I would love to make them rather than buy them.

Here is my mother's recipe that my wife has carried down. I just copied this off of one of those recipe index cards...
Pierogi’s from 'Babci' (Grandma in Polish)
Dough
4 cups flour
3 tsp melted margarine
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 cup warm milk
2 tbsp sour cream
Filling
5 lb potatoes
8 oz farmers cheese
1 large onion diced
Stick of salted butter
You can make filling the night before because it is better to work with it cold.
Peel & boil potatoes
Sauté diced onion and butter
Drain potatoes
Mix onion, butter, potatoes and farmers cheese
Add salt and pepper to taste
Use dough immediately
Mix warm milk, margarine, beaten eggs, and salt.
Add to flour
Knead until smooth.
Roll out dough and cut out 4-inch circles
Put a scoop of filling on dough circle
Flip dough over and pinch closed with your fingers.
Boil until float to top (no longer than 5 minutes).
Drain, fry in butter and onions to eat
Or put a little margarine between them and freeze in plastic container.
