Portable Grills?
Any recommendations on BBQ grill conducive to the full timing lifestyle? See plenty on smokers but not grills. Thanks!

We've had a WeberQ we've toted around for years. It's a great grill. However it does take up a lot of space in a bay (23.5x27x20.5). We just got an O-Grill (8.3x18.7x22) that's much smaller. Yes, not as much grilling space, but it's just the 2 of us & I'd prefer having a grill that doesn't take up as much room.

I went with the Coleman Roadtrip. Like the way it folds up to fit in a bay, plus you can get a couple different style griddle tops for it. Has worked well for us for several years.

We use a camp chef as we like the versatility of using grill box or griddle or just the burner for boiling or frying. They come with 2 or 3 burners.

You asked a tough question that has been debated a lot.
We have this grill and we love it, however others have said they hate it. We paid $119 for ours.
Coleman Road Trip
This one gets great reviews and hear very few complaints about it, however it is pretty expensive IMO- $244
Webber Q 2200/220
This one also get great reviews and those who have it that I know love it- $172
Cuisinart
Know a lot of people who have this Sam's Club grill and they all swear by it- $99
Portable Stainless Steel Grill
The twin brother of the Sams Club grill is the Costco grill, also know lots of people who love theirs- $114
Portable Grill
The choice is yours, I have a hard time justifying a grill that costs more than $140+/-, but everyone has different tastes and preferences. When we travel, we cook almost exclusively on our grill, in the past 3 years we have never used our indoor stove top.
Good Luck!

I received the cuisenart portable (it rolls around and folds up) as a gift and it will get up to 650 degrees!. I've only used it once but it did fine. You can close the lid while grilling too ( I heard some portables can't).

I have the smallest Weber in the Q series and have had it for years. Great Q, even flame and does a great job. After many other brands this one has proven to be the best choice.

I have a Weber Q220 and it has been a gem. Cleans up and stores easily. Plus it's big enough if I am entertaining.

We have a Char Broil electric, cooks using infrared, which is very even and holds the flavor. Just plug it in.

I just got a Q2200. Even though I used it only once for grilling Kalbi steak, I like it a lot. It has good usable space, it cooks well, and the stand sets up and breaks down quick and easy. The stand folds flat and the grill wings fold up so that it takes up little storage space.
The only question I'm pondering is whether we need a good camp stove too.
Regards,
Dan.

Bought a Brinkman 2 burner tabletop 20,000 btu grill with 283 sq in of grill top for $99 at HD. It weighs in at 28 lbs but it's well constructed and pretty close to a standard home grill as far as cooking and area. It has folding legs for the table top. I think it's a great grill for the money....
