I made this at the Myrtle Beach rally last year, its sooo good, think I'll try to cut calories and carbs next time by using Splenda and a sugar free cake mix if I can find one. Its worth the carbs and calories though!

Pumpkin Dump Cake

1 (29 oz.) can pumpkin
1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 eggs
1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup pecans (chopped)
1 cup butter or margarine (melted)

Beat together pumpkin, milk, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and eggs. Pour into 9x12 greased baking
dish. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the pumpkin mixture, and then sprinkle on pecans. Drizzle
melted butter over the top. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Cool. Top with whipping cream or Cool Whip, and enjoy!

Thanks for the recipe for the Dump Cake Yesterday I copied the recipe and Vera made the cake. It is almost gone.
It works for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and I sneak a piece when I go by the refrigerator.
Thanks again

Man that sounds good. But I'm curious... where does the 'dump' part come in....

Wait... Nevermind... I don't wanna know.

You "dump" the pumpkin mix in the pan then sprinkle with the dry cake mix and nuts, you don't mix it up like a "regular" cake.

Had an 'Early' Thanksgiving dinner with my family on Sunday, and my DW made this dump cake to take along. Unanimous family verdict: "FABULOUS!".

My brother asked me if it was easy to make. I said: "Simple! I printed the recipe and handed it to Tara. (the DW) Doesn't get easier than that!" .

dianeandtom: Thank you for this awesome recipe. I predict it's going to be requested every year at our family get-together, and will become part of the tradition.

"Fabulous!" OMG it doesn't get any better than that! Glad to know everyone enjoyed it,thanks for letting me know. I have the ingredients to make one Wednesday. I'm on low carb, but gotta splurge once in awhile! Cool Whip has new flavors out for the holidays so I got some cinnamon flavored to use on ours.

Had to laugh because I posted the funniest pic on Facebook about how pumpkin pies are made and Diane posted she was going to make this instead....

I think I'll try the dump cake - it looks easy and sounds like it would be great for Thanksgiving!

I'm going to try it! I make a dump cake with cherry pie filling and crushed pineapple that is good too. So easy.
