I just have to share with you the greatest invention since the wheel! One of my biggest peeves is trying to clean the slow cooker after a pot luck dinner. These liners are great. Last weekend we had another pot luck and I used my slow cooker, with a liner, and all I had to wash was the lid! They look like a plastic bag, but I can assure you they do not melt in the cooker. Instead of having to soak it over night, all I had to do is lift out the liner and throw it away. They come 3 to a box and will fit round and oval crock pots. Try them. You won't be sorry! I found mine in the plastic wrap and aluminum foil section.

That sounds great. One of my slow cookers ($3 thrift store purchase for camping use) has the non-removeable crock liner. I hate washing that thing. Never again will I buy a crock pot with a non-removeable liner. I thought the crock liner would crack or chip when packed into the pop-up and traveled with... 4 states later it's still in perfect shape.

I too have the non-removable liner. It's old but it still works and I'm not one to throw out something that doesn't work. Maybe I should just give it away and get a new one.

You do not have to have the type of slow cooker with the removable ceramic bowl. That's why these plastic liners would even be better for you. Just make sure you follow directions and make sure when you put the liner in the crock pot that it is snug against the sides and bottom. They are pretty generous and there will be enough to go over the sides so they won't fall into the pot.

These liners are like plastic roasting bags that have been on the market for sometime, but the are made to fit inside of the ceramic bowl. It does not replace the bowl. Maybe that's what you thought I meant.

I have used these liners and they work great but if you do not have one you can put Pam or any other spray oil on the pot and it will come clean in a jiffy. Use my crock pot so much and had the unremoveable kind but would never go back to that type no matter what.

I bought some to use specifically IN the RV. I try to be MOST careful about food stuffs going down the drain, since feel RV drains are smaller than those in homes. This liner will help get rid of that problem, as well as make cleaning a "snatch up and throw-away job".
I DO like to use our crock pots, they are a favorite cooking method both at home and in the RV.
Happy Traveling!!

I love to use the crockpot. After reading about these, when we went to get groceries, we picked up a box right where you said they would be. We're anxious to use them. I make some great baked beans with the crockpot and I have a couple of other dishes as well. You can view some of my recipes on my web site.

I got a sample bag in my Sunday paper this morning. If it works like you have said, I will pick up a box. We haven't used our crock-pot in the RV yet, but maybe we should consider doing so. I'm going tot look at some of those recipes.

The bags are not expensive. We got ours at Pak 'n Save (California).
We haven't used our crock-pot yet either. We're thinking about getting a smaller one for the RV. I saw one for about $20 at Wal*Mart that is a good size for only two people.
The crock-pot idea is great. Turn it on in the a.m., go to the tourist things during the day and come home to dinner all prepared and piping hot...then...with the bags, no excessing dishwasing.

Just this week-end I saw that small crock-pot at WalMart. Looks just right, like you said, for two people. Made my mouth water, shouldn't shop while hungry. I resisted the urge to buy it, not having many receipes.
What's that web site again? http://George@Eldrige.net didn't work for me.

I recently purchased a small crockpot for the RV. I gave it a good review on my website - it has a strap to hold the lid in place and it came with an insulated bag - it was only $14.99 too. I have posted a few really good crockpot recipes on my RV RECIPE page.
Here is a photo of it - at work in the sink of our RV.

ICamp2:
You left a 'd' out of the site address. It's http://George.Eldridge.net.
It's my web site...one of them...I had a web design business and that was my web site, but I changed it over to my cookbook and other stuff. I plan to put narratives and pix on it later from our various trips.
Sorry it took so long to answer your question, but I just got back from foot surgery (a diabetic problem).
The one recipe which will bring you raves is the 5-Flavor Beef...My daughter's husband makes her make it as least twice a month because it makes fantastic sandwiches.
I'm adding some more info. Earlier, there was a post about RVKitchens ( http://www.RVkitchens.com). This month's newsletter has three great recipes for the small slow cooker.
