I know this is for the woman of the house, but I am writing for DW. Since the oven is so small, does anyone use a cooking stone in the oven to spread the heat? It seems that all the heat from the burner is concentrated in the middle of the oven and it doesn't cook evenly. I know it is selfish of me but I like homemade biscuits for breakfast.

YES ......

There several discussions on all of the RV forums about using "Stones" to create an even heat in the typical RV oven..

It seems that most folks just drop by their local "Home Depot" or "Lowes" and buy a 12" x 12" UN-glazed tile for a dollar or two.

They work just as well as the fancy pizza stones and are about a 1/4 of the price..

Best Wishes,
John

Or to save weight and have a multi-use non-breakable item, use an insulated cookie sheet. It works just as well.

As John has suggested, the use of non-glazed tiles in the oven works great to disspate the heat. I use 4-4x4 tiles. Fit well and works very well.
