Would anyone have a receipe for smoking jalapeno peppers?
I had some a long time ago and they were good. You could crumble the peppers or eat them as they were.
Thanks
Bill

This is not a smoked Jalapeno receipe but it a good Jalapeno treat.
Cut Jalapeno in half, clean seed out. Fill with Cream cheese and wrap a half slice of bacon around each Jalapeno half, secure with toothpick. Place on cookie sheet & broil until the bacon is crisp.

Rick cuts them in half, removes the seeds, marinates in Italian dressing, microwaves for a few minutes, and then grills them until tender. We don't stuff them or wrap with bacon usually, but that is also yummy.

The bride cuts them in half, and slow fries them in a skillet with a bit of olive oil in it. When I do steaks on the grill I cut them in half and do both sides till a little black or brown is shown. Sometimes we remove the seeds and other times we don't. We can't tell the heat level until eating them. Many times we wish we had left the seeds in.
They are great along with spaghetti and garlic bread too---

I remove the seeds and stems, crumble the peppers into very small pieces, and roll in a standard cigarette paper...oh wait, that's now what you meant is it...nevermind...

Gently take the seeds out and leave the veins in. The capsaicin is a product of the vein, so if deveining them you remove all the heat except what has been absorbed by the meat. The seeds (picante) only contain a small amount of the heat .
The hottest pepper is the Naga Jolokia and comes in on the Scoval Scale at between 855,000 - 1,041,427 SHU. Those will bring tears to your eyes if you look at them!!!!
