Hardee's hands down. We have to wait in line at Hardee's for breakfast. Any other time of day, you just drive right thru.

My wife makes better cream gravy than any restaurant. Most restaurants use a premixed gravy mix...just add water. My momma would turn over in her grave if she knew people made gravy from a mix.

And don't even ask, her recipe is a closely guarded family secret. She claims the main ingredient is love.

Every since we moved from Missouri to first Cal. then Wash.,I haven't found GOOD biscuits and gravy.
Everyone out west thinks you should use water, not milk, tastes like paste.
Ran in to one gal that left so much grease on top you could have serviced your car with it.

Probably the best sausage gravy to be found would be an old Army Mess Sergeant. Only problem, they didn't use biscuits, they used old soggy toast. Darn, I miss the old days.

Who made the best biscuits? My grandma with red eye gravy and molasses! I can almost taste to this day.

DW by far better than anyone's and she is not looking over my shoulder.

Now when she makes sausage gravy and biscuits the are scrumptious, and her SOS gravy contains sausage and hamburger - Ummmmm!

Wellllll....

I must say that mine are pretty good because I have found a way to cut the calories by about 75% and they still taste like the "Real Thing"... At least hubby tells me so..... LOL!!!

If travelling then Hardee's is hard to beat.

If anchored then wash up, sit down, shut up and prepare to worship the stove I cook on !

Be safe, enjoy the open road... Thank a veteran for your freedom !
