Thanks for the tip. We just returned to read your message so will take the side trips when we return to AZ next year.
We were hit with some 110 degree days while we were in Phoenix but the heat broke just after we left to head home East to NJ. Our son reports it is comfortable at 90 highs. We really like Phoenix and decided to sell the home and everything we own in NJ and head back with the rig to Phoenix area for the new home state search.
When traveled West on Route 80. Came down through the Rockies. Did not like the drive or roads. Especially Denver.
Coming home we took 40 East. What a diff!
Somewhere along the trip we broke a rear upper leaf spring. Other than that we did real well.
Looking for a repair shop this week to get the rig back level.
    Thanks for feed back,
    Richard & Violet

Enjoy the trip to AZ and Gilbert. My son is just across the street from The Farm. Not a real big city. We loved Lost Dutchman even tho it was a distance from them. If you want a day trip then to go Oatman, AZ just south of Kingman on old Route 66. Do it in the Toad and not with trailer or motorhome. Roads are too bad for that. Great place to visit once.
