Was reading up on a DUVAC issue I am having and noticed your knowledge in this area. Im trying to find out the origin of the DUVAC excite wire on the alt on a 1998 HR Imperial. It has the BIRD isolator as well. The biggest issue is the previous owner tied the house and coach batteries together and eliminated the bird system. I've looked trying to find a proper wiring diagram with no luck.


I recently had a charging issue on the road with a over voltage readings before the alt quit. Replaced with new but cant get the system to come back online. At this moment the alt light is on, no RPM reading and no voltage at the DUVAC alt side. Key terminal had power in the run position.
