Hi Randy. You may remove the key while towing after placing the transfer case in neutral. I always try to move my truck after the neutral thing to make sure it's in neutral. Nice vehicle, I love my 2012. Traded an 08.

Hi bob, My name is Randy Cunningham
I saw you are towing a 2012 Dodge Ram. We just got our's all ready to be towed, using an airforce one brake controller. We used to tow a Jeep wrangler/manual transmission, so this is a little different.
In the Jeep we always left the key on so the steering wheel didnt lock. From everything I'm reading in the manual, it says to remove the key. I'm just looking for someone who can verify this is right and that the steering doesnt lock.

Any advice ?
