    Just noticed your message!

A few years ago, I bought a Starband dish and modem and went through an "installer training program." If I recall, hardware was about $1700, and $50/month for service! My Dealer has since retired and I wouldn't know where to go now or where to send anyone. I am about ready to cancel my service, just not on the road as much any more. There are a number of satellite services now but I know nothing about them. I have foldable custom mast attached to the roof of my RV, most use a tripod to mount the dish and I use a "Birdog" to lock into the satellite. There is a bandwidth limit based on the service package you pay for. Higher speed/bandwidth for bussinesses run 2-3x or more. If you have specific question, let me know.

    Hi hdossett,

I see in your profile that you have satellite internet. Would you mind sharing a bit about your install, provider and package/pricing? We run a small technology company and plan to visit some areas of the country over the next year+ that will likely be out of range for our Verizon wireless internet coverage.

I've been starting to research satellite internet and service providers and any insight you could provide on your experience, I am sure would be invaluable.

    thanks!
