Are you traveling yet in your Excel? Are you planning any trips in my direction (North Carolina). If you are headed this direction maybe we could rendezvous so we could see a Winslow D28RLW in person!

Yes we did. It's great, but we haven't been able to use it yet. Had a death in the family and now we're in Mexico for a while. I was able to clean and UV proof the roof and wax the exterior. That was a good-sized job. We'll take it for it's maiden voyage somewhere near home next month.

The SuperGlide pulls great. The trailer doesn't come close to hitting the cab. Also I recommend the GlideRide pin box. It takes all the bumps and shocks out of pulling.

Actually we haven't picked it up yet, so I have no experience so far. The factory is adding a couple of options and will probably finish next month.

We haven't yet towed anything with our hitch, either. I just installed it a week ago. Most guys I know who tow 5th wheels have short-bed pickups with crew cabs. I think they just don't want the length of a crew-cab/long-bed combination. They can be a pain in parking lots and when making right turns in city traffic. None of them have slider hitches. With the new sculpted 5th-wheel designs, they say the short bed is not an issue. They're just careful when turning. I would be the guy who would forget, so I opted for the SuperGlide.

    Sorry I wasn't more help.

I see that your rig is a Excel Winslow D28RLW & F250. We are thinking about buying the same rig. Have you had any problems with the D28RLW? Would you recommend an 8ft bed on the truck to avoid the slider hitch?
