Hi Ed, Sorry to have vanished from Earth, but we started harvest season and I'm just now coming up for air. It rained on Sunday, and I have been doing repairs, just decided to plow through 9,300 emails before going to bed. I didn't personally fix the ground issue, only listened to Bobby Vodden explain to my husband. The shop is Kustom Coach Works in Junction City, Oregon.
Hi Ed,
Sorry for not responding sooner. Have been dealing with cancer and am just now getting back up and dusting myself off. Had the same problem with grounding and my instruments giving bogus readings. There is a single grounding wire under the dash and when a ground is needed they just crimp onto that ground wire. Problem is those connections are crap. Tech support told me years ago to take the dash apart and solder every ground connection I could find. Then they added "Good Luck" it's a guaranteed disaster trying to disassemble the dash. Another place to look is at the alternator. Three connections. Make sure all connections are tight. I ended converting to Silverleaf software that gives more and better information. A little expensive but WELL worth it.
