Hey Gary, Gotta give you a update. Boy was I shocked to find out that I did not have the 8 lug rim but a 10 lug so it was not going to fit on the RV. So like you I had a hard time finding a 8 lug rim for the RV that was not a silly price. They are on line for over 300.00 bucks in aluminum. I wanted like you a steel 8 lug. But after lifting that tire and rim I was shocked at the weight. So I guess the aluminum was not a bad idea after all if you want to go that way. But in the meantime I cut the 10 lug rim in less than half and plan to mount it on my homemade tire carrier. Then just use it to hang a tire on so if I need a tire I have the right size. Most big tire service trucks that come to change your tire can also mount a tire. But finding the right size tire in a small town in the middle of nowhere is another thing. If ya want to e mail me
