Hey! Another Californian! Almost all the posts I've seen in the last 20 hours or so that I've been a member have been by easterners, people back east.
Plans as of now:
Weekend of March 1 - Celebrate my son's open house at his new office in Fresno and my birthday.
Month of June - Watch daughter race the Tahoe Century bike ride, then visit friends in Bishop CA, then visit friends in Palmdale CA, then visit a LOT of friends and relatives in SoCal, then attend my uncle's 100 birthday Party in Brentwood (in SoCal), then friends near Pine Mountain, then probably my son in Fresno, then home in Antioch about the 25th.
We'll probably pass through Bakersfield while you're in Sequoia enjoying more pleasant temperatures, and MUCH better scenery than at home.
My first experience of Bakersfield was when we stopped for gas there on the way to Yosemite when I was 6 in late June 1941 and the temperature was 102°F AT 2 IN THE MORNING!
