    I have the problem.

    I had the brow area painted the cream color and re-cleared. That has lasted about 7 years so far.

    Clear coat has a life of about 10 years. Clear coat applied over gel coat is more susceptible to flaking off than Clear coat over paint. That is why the cream portion tends to flake. It is Clear Coat over gel coat.

    I have had success with patch repairs of peeling clear coat by removing the loose clear, sanding carefully, the edges, polishing the gel coat and then applying a rattle can clear coat product in several layers. Not as good as the original but acceptable on a 15 year old coach until a full repaint is done.
