05-23-2012 02:14 PMtravelgirlthat is correct if you do not have a transfer case with a 2 WD 4 High N then 4 Low you need to have a drive line disconnet and if i'm not mistaken DOT now requires a brake controler as well. it's not pricey to add a drive line disconnet if one is needed I do not need a drive line disconnect due to the fact i have the transfer case in my truck

01-04-2011 02:02 PMBig Bear& all other grades on the way, at times drove over 60 mph, & still got good MPG. Sorry, but I don't recall the $$ and those bank records are at home. I did get a quote with a special price? 6 mos prior to install at the big RV show held every year in Oct? at the Fairplex.

01-04-2011 02:01 PMBig Bear. This is supplied with a jumper/bypass cable to get you on the road if a problem with the computer should occur. This keeps the HP below the recommended max level to the transmission and exhaust temp in the recommended range. They also install a set of gauges that the driver can use to monitor boost PSI & EGT. The tech recommended that I put them at the bottom of the dash as due the computer I don't have to watch them all the time. They could also put them in an interment "pod" mounted above the dash. in retrospect I should have them installed in the POD, as I am a "watcher" & like to monitor whats going on. I also have a "TripTek" unit that I watch things on. I am happy with the installation & operation & would have it done again, but think this is my last motorhome. When I moved to Seattle I towed a 25' enclosed car trailer with a 1960 Austin Heally, 3 motorcycles, a 3 wheeler + a bunch more and just walked up the Grapevine

01-04-2011 01:57 PMBig BearSorry, have been having computer problems, always happens when I am 1200 miles from home! I had the package put on by Banks at their place in Asussa?? and am very happy with it. This was done in Jan. 2005. Works great, if you drive like you used to, or like you SHOULD, your mpg will go up. If you drive like you CAN, mpg goes down. My trip down from Seattle to San Diego is showing trip MPG at 9.8, while some parts ran over 10. depends on hills, wind, speed, ect. I try to drive close to 55, seldom over 60 as I tow a PT Crzr. For the install I parked on the street in front of the factory until they took it into the shop the following morning. Don't recall the total time to install but I was on my way back to San Diego mid afternoon. They remove the Turbo & install the spool into a new housing, which gives higher & faster boost. New waste gate to control pressure, a EGT Exhaust Gas Temp probe and a computer to monitor everything. FOUND MSG TOO LONG, so watch for more.
