Hi! How are you doing? Hope you got your water heater working, I replied to your forum today, had the same problem this winter. Another problem I had this winter was that I had a leak a couple years ago in one of the cabinets by the bed. I fixed it and I cedar lined it. Well, that laun in the wall rotted and at the resort we were at had tons of ants, real little devils, they got in behind my cedar, I seen saw dust on the cabinet countertop. Tore the out wall out and found the new nest. Got ant spray and for several weeks sprayed to kill them. When I got home, took out all the rotted wood down to the styrofoam insulation, got a piece of 1/2 birch ply wood, cut to fit and glued it in then re-cedared the one side of the closet. Always something to do in these motor homes. Of late, I haven't been on the forum, to busy I guess.

Don't know how I missed this until now. I do not have schematics for the house but, have experienced some of these types of issues. I would start by resetting breakers and then check fuses on the circuit board that handles a lot of your house issues. On my 2002 Islander it is located in the compartment where the batteries are located and is just above batteries next to the inverter. If you have a manual for your coach it should tell you where it is located and what each fuse is for. My name is Larry and I can reached at 614 264-8636 or e-mail me at lebaumgardner@att.net. Put me on your list of Islander owners willing to ban together.

Hi, I was looking at the Cummins manual and it has where you can order a manual:
Literature bulletin no. 3666262 Operation and maintenance manual, ISC engine. @ Commins Distributors or contact 1-800-343-7357. They should have some, somewhere. I will continue checking. As far as National Islander manual, if you can't find one I can printer up that one for you.

    Hi,
We ran our genny last winter in Quartzsite until the tank was so low that we ran out of fuel when we went to refuel just before we could turn into the gas station. That was a drive of 3 miles!

We do have the mood lights I think it is HR original. The switch by the kitchen sink is a triple plate for mood lights and the overhead lights for the kitchen and lounge. That gets very hot only when the mood lights are turned on, not when the overhead fluorescents are on. I don't think the one by the entry door gets hot, nor does the bedroom switches.
We never leave lights or any other electrical appliances on when we go out. Not even the water heater or water pump!!!
