sorry these are out of order (and so lengthy!) read them from the bottom first, to be in order...there was a limit of 1000 characters that I exceeded!

the switch in the bedroom, in our coach, turns on the engine pre-heat on the engine. the manual (and the forums) advise if the temps are below 50, turn it on for 30 minutes (or more if colder) before starting the engine. it will warm up the oil and the block, to make starting easier!

hope this helps! any other questions, feel free to drop me a line here or at erik@erikpeterson.net

    cheers!

1: engine heat. there is a loop that runs from the engine through the tank, that will heat the water as you drive down the road. test that by ensuring you have cold water in the hot water tank, after you arrive see if it is hot!
2: electric heating element. when the generator is on, or you are hooked up to shore power, if you turn the switch on in the bathroom, the water heats up. there is a secondary switch ON the tank itself, behind the panel at the bottom of the shelving unit. that switch must also be ON for the element to work.
3: gas fired. if you have the LP gas valve open (and the red light is on; this is at the control panel) and you turn on the HOT WATER switch on the control panel, it will fire up the gas burner to heat the water. we turn this on while taking showers to help the electric element keep the water hot, then turn it off after were all done.

saw a post of yours from last Thanksgiving about the switch in the bathroom, and the switch in the bedroom as you enter on the lower right. In my 2002 Damon Ultrasport, those switches had different functions that what was told to you, so I wanted to reach out and share how mine is wired up!

The switch in the bathroom is in fact to turn on the electric element in the water heater (make sure there is water in there before turning it on!). That water tank gets heated 3 different ways in our coach:
