What makes you think the starter is bad? The more likely reason is a bad switch or a bad ground. If you have already checked all this with a multi-meter and your battery is good, than this may be your problem.

If you have a problem getting a manual, just let us know. I have them all here, I'm just on my phone and can't attach them right now.

I bought my replacement starter from EMS Global Direct, EMS Global Direct :: Starters :: GENERAC
Very easy to work with. I did find a local starter repair shop that could also supply a replacement starter at a lower price. Mine is a 75D and replacing the starter was a real pain.

My batteries are new and fully charged. I have been able to check out the circuit to the starter solenoid.I have power going to the solenoid. When I push the start button the solenoid clicks and I get power to the other side, but the generator won't turn over. The generator is tucked into a little cubby hole and I can't see if it will slide out or drop down to the ground to gain access to the starter to check it out.Thankyou Fred

My Gernerac is mounted on an angle iron frame. The MH has an angle iron frame which the generator slides into horizonally. Then there are 4 bolts to secure them together.

The exaust would need to be removed as well as all elec and fuel connections before removal. Then you have to deal with all that weight getting it out and onto something. As much as I like working on things, not sure I would want to tackle this one.
