Koni FSD Shocks - torque for nut tightening
Hi,
I finally have Koni FSD shocks to install on my 2003 Coachman MH, but need to know the torque to tighten the nuts to when installing. Does anyone know what torque the nuts should be tightened to on a Ford F53 Chassis? Thank-you, Dan |
There was slip of paper in the box with torque values for mine.
It's lucky I noticed it - I almost pitched it. The nuts on mine were 28mm and required 80 foot pounds of torque. My 2004 WH chassis also had studs on the bottom of the rear shocks . They were 24 mm and required 74 foot pounds. I don't know if Ford used the studs or not. WH changed to all through bolts the following year. |
Hi Clay,
Thanks for the information. There wasn't a slip in either of my boxes and when I called Koni, they couldn't help. Best Regards, |
i just tightened the living crap out of mine. :thumb:
